This is a very unusual Plateau cornhusk form. A belt is a possibility or a strap attached to a cornhusk bag or a substitute for a tump line for a basket. I don't know, but it is unique and a very decorative item. It has both dyed wool yarn and dyed cornhusk in the various designs. I think it would be an interesting addition for a collector.
